Description
Tranquebar faience dinnerware was produced from 1912 by Aluminia, and later Royal Copenhagen. This beautiful frame is no longer in production, and here you buy used parts procured by Aluminia and later Royal Copenhagen.
For Christian Joachim, faience was a life's work. He achieved one of his best-known results with the frame "Tranquebar" whose main motif is a tulip framed by a wicker pattern. In terms of colour, the frame is inspired by the blue-painted export porcelain from China, the so-called East Indian porcelain. The name was taken from the old Danish colony in India. The cup holds 1.2 dl. Height 6.2 cm. Diameter 7.2 cm.
